Winnwood Apartments

1460 West Peachtree

Built in 1931, the Winnwood Apartments is a brick Georgian Revival style apartment building located in Midtown. The structure is an excellent example of a garden apartment with its open, deep U-shaped footprint, central courtyard, and lack of porches. Behind the building is a one-story, brick and wood multi-stall garage, constructed at the same time as the apartments.  

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021. Following an extensive rehabilitation into studio apartments, the property is now utilized as supportive housing for previously unhoused Atlantans through the non-profit organization Partners for Home.
