Trust Company of Georgia Northeast Freeway Branch
2160 Monroe Dr. NE
Located in Piedmont Heights and designed by architect Henri Jova, the Trust Company of Georgia Northeast Freeway Branch is an excellent example of the New Formalism style. Built in 1961, the building is constructed of “reinforced concrete and concrete block with brick veneer” and is composed of a “round two-story main block capped by an undulation of overhanging eaves.” Operating as a bank until 2000, today the building serves as a local restaurant space. The building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.
